I was listening to a stack of Gong a week or so ago.  I'd have banged on about it in the "What's everyone listening to?" thread if I hadn't been busy at the time!  Great stuff, starting off as loopy space rock and gradually transmuting into jazz/fusion... I like it all, but if you prefer the space rock side of thngs the RADIO GNOME INVISIBLE trilogy (FLYING TEAPOT - from which your MySpace track comes - ANGEL'S EGG and YOU) is essential, as is the earlier set CAMEMBERT ELECTRIQUE, where Radio Gnome and the pot head pixies made their first appearance, and LIVE ETC., a decent compilation of radio and concert performances.

(Would you like some) T  ;D

I have a couple of Gong albums, one being Planet Gong and the other being Camembert Electrique. I loved Allez Ali Baba Blacksheep Have You Any Bull Shit in particular at that time in my life, but everything is a bit of blur  :

Oh yeah, the Floating Anarchy Tour 1977 live album, Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth with Here And Now.  That's a good one too!  There are so many good ones... anyone come across NEW YORK GONG (Allen with a bunch of young session guys who subsequently stayed together as 80s avant-rock band Material) or the Mother Gong ROBOT WOMAN albums (sort of a feminist version of the RADIO GNOME INVISIBLE trilogy)?

Most of my older memories of listening to Gong are a bit of a blur too.  That's one reason why I still listen to them!  ;D ;D
