Pure Digital Ass whipping - These guys are high energy and articulate their talents fluidly. I found these guys thru the bass player, one Tony Levin.

Mr. Levin is a reknowned session man in New York City. Has worked with a long list of big names, including the early 80's incarnation of King Crimson, featuring 2 original members in Robert Fripp and Bill Bruford with Adrian Belew on guitar. In fact, this line-up still tours actively. He also has credits for bass and chapman stick on Pink FLoyd's A Momentary Lapse of Reason release, although he didn't tour with that concert show. Pity, but then, Guy Pratt did tour and we can now look at his contributions and success instead. Tony, between Crimson activities, hooked up with the guitarist and drummer from Dream Theater and a very talented keyboards man to form Liquid Tension Experiment.

Their first album release is so-so. Some very good music, to be sure. But their second release is nothing short of astounding, at least to my thinking. I'm particularly enamored with Biaxident and Another Dimension, both from the second album. Most of their tracks can be found on LimeWire, for those interested.
And I said, "Well, Your Honor... She wanted to play poker. And I tried to oblige, but didn't know what fell under the category of beastiality. Considering my mental state, it was 2 months of Solitaire Confinement... "

The keyboards guy, Jordan Rudess, became the Dream Theatre keyboards man shortly after that first disc was made.

I haven't heard the second album but I'll take your word for it and look for a copy, since I like the first one a lot.
