Idioverse are a new band with fresh ideas. I can't really liken them to anyone other than to Oceansize who are an influence.  I've seen them play live three times now and they're very exciting.  Ben, the vocalist, writes the lyrics and music and has a very unique singing style, whilst Jeeshan, the second guitarist, plays some very interesting rhythms which can be likened to the playing of Ravi Shankar but with a far blusier feel .  The drummer is hard hitting and just happens to be one of my best friends.

They've been playing a series of small venues across London and are definitely worth checking out.  Brian Eno has their CD.

Take a look at their website.  You'll be able to listen to their music, download it and see the animations and backdrops (all produced by Ben) that are used for their very unique show.

Listen to four of the best on my space .... Red Buzzer is my favourite but I like Fur for something a bit mellower

and when they become famous, you'll know you heard about them here first!  ;D

Thanks for taking the time to listen Pete!

If anyone's near the Bull & Gate in Kentish Town next Saturday, 2 June, then pop in to see my friends Idioverse.

This is huge plug for my friends Idioverse!  ;D

You can catch them at the Millers this coming Saturday, 22 November.  They have a new bass player, who I've not see in action before.

My mate Mike is a superb drummer and could hold his own with the likes of Bonham or Dave Grohl any day!  Jeeshan's guitar playing is like Ravi Shankar on a blues acid trip - he'll kill me for saying that  ;D

Seriously, these guys are excellent and really deserve a break.

You see and hear them here ...
