TOPIC: The Hamsters

The Hamsters 4 years, 3 months ago #1

Anyone been to see this band? http://www.thehamsters.co.uk/main.php Would like to go and see them when they come to my corner of rural North Yorkshire later this month. Any reviews?
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think...

I saw The Hamsters at some progressive rock festival about 7 years ago or so and they did lots of Hendrix as well as songs such as "I've Only Got Eyes For You But You Should See What I've Got For Your Sister".

During their last song I remember they all swapped instruments in rotation for a laugh.  I thought they were quite good actually.
Be very very careful what you put into that head, because you will never ever get it out. Thomas Cardinal Wolsey (1471-1530)

I've been meaning to see them for years. They get great reviews and are always touring. They do regular sets, Hendrix sets, and ZZ Top sets.

I've got a couple of mates up here in Norfolk who are really friendly with the guys from the Hamsters.
My two mates work for a racing team ( their driver is Ayrton Senna's nephew Bruno Senna)
and they usually invite the guys from the band along to come and watch the race they do at Silverstone
at the Grand Prix meeting each July. Must get along to see them someday, highly recommended by all I know
that have seen them.

This is tempting as they're playing in Leeds in a couple of weeks, in facts my mate Bob lives in Guiseley where the gig is
