When somebody like Mick Taylor plays at your local country club, which is just 2 miles down the road, you have to go!  Particularly when his band consist of the following personnel!

Denny Newman - guitar (Manfred Mann's Earth Band/The Pirates)
Kuma Harada - bass (Snowy White)
Max Middleton - keys (Jeff Beck/Chris Rea/Jack Bruce)
Jeff Allan - drums (Snowy White/John Martyn/Van Morrison)

They were all up for a jam and as well as Mick's own material, they played a Muddy Waters song, a couple of Bob Dylan numbers and the Stones song, No Expectations.

I have to say though that Denny Newman was amazing and played guitar better than Mick.  Jeff Allan was excellent also.

Mick and his band are doing the rounds and I'd recommend seeing them if they appear in your town.
Cloudless everyday you fall upon my waking eyes ...

He is a legend, all my favourite Stones albums and the best stuff John Mayall ever did too.
