Wow. All I can say it that was the best £40 I've spent in a long time. This is without doubt a great time to see Metallica. From the start to the end the performances were top notch, great guitar work and a set list to please most people.

I can't really comment on The Sword as they'd already started before we got in (before the time stated). But as leaat found in Nottingham, the sound was terrible, and vocals could barely be heard, and not understood. Again, the same sound trouble for Machine Head, and also, not a fan so didn't know any of their music. It'd be unfair for me to comment further.

Big dog, it looks as though you missed a classic at Nottingham, I was so happy I got tickets for this after the hassle of booking them.

I've got a couple of video clips of the show, being Blackened, Hammet solo, Cyanide and Seek & Destroy. Can someone advise me on this here? I've uploaded Blackened but the playback is quite blocky, even though the original is very good. I didn't compress when I uploaded it, so the blockiness must've been caused by Youtube??

Metallica are on fire at the moment, they are playing blistering shows and I hope they are just as good tomorrow night at Sheffield. ;D ;D My ears have only just recovered from the Nottm gig

Yeh, it was loud wasn't it!! I said to my Wife that I must be getting old now, complaining about the noise levels.

On second viewing, the vid on youtube seems better. Does it go through some sort of processing after it's uploaded?

Very good picture quality but unfortunately a most hideous sound......all I get is a very bassy rumble. Crowd singing sounds fine though.
                Did I mention that I couldn't make it the other night? its going to haunt me forever. :G

I know the sounds not too great, I took my camera and took a few pics, and thought I'd take a few video clips to see how they turned out. The mic on the camera isn't too hot, but that's Fuji for you!

Nice, I try not to use the American 'forum favourite' word to often, but that looked like an awesome night - love the stage layout too  ;D

PS. My video quality is very good.
