Rumours are rife, AC/DC to play Download on the Friday night(11th June 2010) there's an article on Planet Rock's web site saying the band accidentally leaked the info out, whether it is true is another story, but I would like to think it is and it would be fantastic to see them back at Donington.

But the place is a building site now Lea? Seeing whats planned for Knebworth in July i was thinking it looked like an alternative event. I did post a link for bands due to appear there on my facebook profile page a few days ago.

I know Steve, it's a crying shame what they have done to Donington, as far as I'm concerned the F1 dream was never going to happen and then the bikes cleared off, they spent millions trying to improve the place, they should have left it well alone and kept the events they already had, so where will Download be held??

The Sonisphere Knebworth gig has a great line up so far, Maiden, Rammstein, Alice Cooper, Anthrax Etc. but the Donington location is ideal for me as it's only around 7-8 miles away and very easy to get to.

ACDC did leak it i think. The date at Donnington was on their tour dates for a short time but now taken off.

Sonisphere Poland are getting the full works though - the 'Big Four' thrash bands are all playing - Metallica,Megadeth,Anthrax and Slayer.

Doubt that I'll go but I'm less than 20 miles from here too ...

Well after much thought and hesitation ....Ive done it. Two one day only tickets to see AC/DC and Them Crooked Vultures at Donington on June 11th.
    Correction... I now find out that my tickets come from eventim. Hence the exorbitant booking fee and postage charges. I was under the impression that I was dealing directly with Live nation. I therefore have deleted my description of them posted yesterday.
