TOPIC: 2010 / 2011 Tour Details & Setlist

2010 / 2011 Tour Details & Setlist 1 year, 9 months ago #1

Does anyone have any idea what TAPS is planning for the
2010 NA Tour, I am assuming Lasers will be back this year.

I already have my tickets & still don't know anything about the show yet and the
tour dates have still not been officially released....

Also on the TAPS website under band memebers they only list the 4
nothing about who's on sax etc.

CMP is producing the US tour, so it is the Britfloyd lineup, not the one on aussiefloyd.com.

No confusion for North America this fall, basically the same line-up as the past couple of years still under TAPFS name. This band turns magically into The British Pink Floyd Show after this final N.A. tour as TAPFS which was already contracted. (from what I read here anyway)

Lasers and details? Can't help you there

E-mail from the Brighton Center today:

From the producer of 'The Australian Pink Floyd Show' comes a brand new and even bigger PINK FLOYD live spectacular.

Fresh out of the box for 2011, Chas Cole and CMP presents, THE BRITISH PINK FLOYD SHOW - The Pink Floyd fan's ultimate live tribute show!

Incorporating, CMP's usual winning formula of grandiose production values and impeccable musicianship. This extravagant new show brings together all the best elements of TAPFS, its key musicians, its key road crew, together with amazing new cutting edge Floydian animation and a staggering new stage production.

BRIT FLOYD takes the Pink Floyd tribute experience to a brand new level.

Their upcoming global tour, Pink Floyd Greatest Hits World Tour 2011, will showcase the biggest and most spectacular Floyd tribute of all time. Two and a half hours of the absolute best of Floyd live in the sort of spectacularly ostentatious setting that all true Floyd fans will relish.

Key Musicians and Road crew? I'm not sure i agree with that statement! This is all going to end in tears.

I was just about to post along the same lines Greenfloyd, as I also got the email from The Brighton Centre this morning.

In addition to your observations, I was also pondering the validity of the statement "....from the producer of the australian pink floyd show.....". From what I've read on the forum over the last week it seems that CMP may still be the producers of TAPFS right now, they may also be so until after the end of the NA tour??? but if I've read correctly they most certainly won't be producing TAPFS at the time of the brit floyd tour for which tickets at Brighton go on sale tomorrow.

In my opinion it seems very unfortunate and spurious to word it in the way that it has been. To be generous, it can at best only muddy the waters of this whole sad business, but if this sets the tone of forthcoming material from the CMP publicity machine, then I would imagine that, as you've already pointed out, it can only end in tears.

From what i've seen on the aussiefloyd.com forum looks like the Fall North American tour will be a Greatest Hits Tour.
