From CMP today -

CMP Entertainment are excited to announce the inclusion of the 'Isle of Wight Festival' on the schedule for 'The British Pink Floyd Show' for 2011.

Chas Cole, CMP's managing director, said "It's fantastic news. A big thank you to John Giddings for his faith in our new Pink Floyd project. Isle of Wight is an amazing festival. Brit Floyd won't let him down."

Phenomenal!  Someone please find me a skeleton costume, as I am now feeling the urge to possibly run across the stage while wearing it to pay homage to another one of my favorite British bands who recorded an album at the Isle of Wight years ago.  Think I'll have a listen to that one now.    ;D

Agreed!  I am a huge fan of theme based albums which tell a story, "Tommy" is certainly one of the best in my opinion.  And I feel putting together a tribute show to "The Wall" with tapfs is the highlight of my career so far.

Regarding "Tommy", years back I had the fortunate pleasure to work with Ann Margaret on a film.  She's a very beautiful and witty lady.  I took the opportunity to talk to her about working on the film "Tommy".  She was overzealous and said how much she had enjoyed working on it with director Ken Russell and everyone else involved.  It's always nice to meet someone of such caliber who is also down to earth.
