TOPIC: Brit floyd 2 for 1 tickets

Brit floyd 2 for 1 tickets 1 year, 2 months ago #1

Got an email from ticketmaster stating the above, here's a link:

www.ticketmaster.co.uk/promo/0kgei6?dma_id=

Smells of poor ticket sales, wouldnt be surprised if the O2 gig ends up cancelled. Jo public must wonder who the Brit Floyd are, lets hope they still want to go and see the Aussies, I know I do!

Takes time to build a business, 2 for 1 is something the Aussies have done from time to time in the US for years to keep the venues filled.

Whichever way you look at it, if I had already purchased my tickets for any of the shows highlighted in the Ticketmaster list, I would be none too chuffed to find that I could have effectively gotten them at 1/2 price if I had delayed buying them - surely its something of an insult to the true fan who is prepared to buy early and pay the proper price to see them

Hi Max - I'm not arguing that it takes a while to build up a fan base - I remember going to see the Aussies in 1994 when they first came over to England - look how long it took them to get where they are.  What I'm saying is that I would be mightily pissed off if, as a loyal fan, I had bought a ticket early on after dates were announced at the full price, only to find out I could get them at half price if I had waited.  I bet you wouldn't be happy if you had paid £20 for your ticket only to find you could have bought 2 for the same price if you had waited a bit
