I was watching Brainiac on TV and they have a topic called things that make you go hmmm and I was wondering if we could put some questions on here. so I'll start it with....

If your in a lift that is falling and going to crash if you jump just before the lift hits the ground would you live?

no because you cant jump out of a lift when its moving!! the doors wont open

No but you would if you used the stairs. I healthier as well, going up that is.

actually, jumping would not save you unless you could exert enough force to create an equal and oppisite velocity to the lift.
jumping will slow you down, but not by much.
