Just got back from a long walk with the dog. First long walk in many months due to my painfull hip but I got a different painkiller from the doctors yesterday which has really eased it. I love to walk in the rain, anyone else?

Sorry to hear about the hip. Hope all is well. Hip replacement in the future? My Mum just had hers done 5 weeks ago. Say hello to Barny for me. Am at work for half a day today as I have to make up for leaving early yesterday to fly all around Victoria. It's great here on saterday......nobody about so I have my truck pulled up fornt of the shop and Pink Floyd Pulse playing on my CD player! Now I'm chatting with you and so far this mornings been great!

Oh...no rain in site, but a good wet walk in the rain with the right company can be great!

Oh BTW....never mind the Dr....what do they know anyway. Just pop into the shop this morning and I'll drill and tap a grease nipple into your hip. It will be right by morning coffee break.

i love walking in the rain too!  there's something really nice about it ! mind you i was in Bury today and got soaked to the bone, forgot my brolly!  aaw what the hell a bit of rain wont do me any harm !  ;D

Its never stopped raining here in Bolton all weekend

Bob wouldn't it be great if you could really do that. I've just had a nice soak in the bath and, touch wood, the hip feels ok. I hope I've found the right painkiller for the old arthro because at last I've got some free time to go for the walks. Barney says hello and don't work too hard today at work.

Diane, I don't like getting caught out in the rain but as long as I know its going to rain & I have all my waterproofs on I just love it.

So do i !  people think im mad for walking in it !  i dont bloody care do you !

There's loadsa songs associated with the rain !  how about Neil Sedaka (my fave!) Laughter in the Rain ? !  i cant find a fella to walk in the bloody rain with me though thats the problem !  ;D
