I cant believe we're in September already!  doesnt time fly ?  where's this year gone?  Is it getting faster because we're getting older?  or has it always been this way? Doctor Phang do you think this?

I have a theory that its because we are getting older, if you are a 5 year old child and you have to wait a whole year for your next birthday, then its a whole 20% of your life spent waiting.

If you are 50 then you only spend 2% of your life waiting for the next one to rush around, so in answer to your question, yes it seems like time is flying past!!!

When you get to Fossils age the days must seem like hours!!! ;D ;D

I know I have difficulty remembering what I did yesterday let alone what I did for my birthday last year!!

You can't turn back the hands of time but you can certainly slow them down. As you know I had the opportunity to take redundancy and early retirement recently. In doing so I have taken a big drop in income but I have gained something that we all wished we had, which is more time. One of the major factors in my decision to take early retirement was based on the title of this topic "isn't time flying by". Of course it is how we perceive time relative to our own circumstances but personally my job was so intense that weeks and months would fly by at an alarming rate. I am glad to say that my desicion to retire was a good one and this last month seems to have drifted by at a much more leisurely rate.

How do you think that makes me feel? >  Nobody has ever owned up to being older so unless anyone else knows differently I think you'll find that makes me the 'Father of the Forum'
