1. 9/11 was one of the worst atrocities ever perpitrated against innocent people in peace time. Unforgivable, unacceptable.
2. Maybe if the US and UK stopped trying to be policeman to the world things like this wouldn't happen.

Two sides of the coin.

Everybody can remember where they were and what they were doing, I remember being stunned by the radio broadcast's I heard in our factory, they sounded awful and then the full horror for me when I got home and switched on the TV, I will never forget the sight of these magnificent towers falling like a deck of cards to the ground, and thinking about those poor people inside who died that awful day.

We will never forget, RIP.

Today, they were re-running the news coverage as it unfolded on 9/11/01.  They interviewed the Twin Towers' building manager and he said that you could expect between 10 and 12 thousand people in each tower.  It's amazing that, apparently, 17,000 got out of there!

 

I was about 2 miles away from the WTC when it happened. What a terrible day that was.

I walked to the office that morning from my hotel and heard the sirens of police cars, ambulances and fire trucks and thought? it's NY, you always hear that stuff. Only once I got to the office did I realize what was going on.

I took a picture while standing in the middle of Broadway near Times Square at 4:30pm that day. It was empty. No cars, trucks, taxi's? nothing and very few people. Talk about surreal.

I spent the rest of the week trying to get home. I finally ended up renting a car and drove 13 hours to get home.

i totally agree nick, why are we to police the world? we are both superpowers but still. Technically I look to the parties such as the BNP and UKIP (not really for the immigration and that) but seriously we should be isolated out of world affairs, look after our own before others, its human nature that is!
