OK, how about some more random photos taken on mt travels around my local area?

I went for a walk up to Suicide Bridge (the bridge that carries Hornsey Lane over the A1, Archway Road in Highgate.  The two light trail pictures were taken from up there by me lying on the ground and resting my camera on the ground so it looks through a gap in the wrought iron railings that stop people throwing themselves to their deaths.  In the background of "Archway Trail 2" you can see the City of London; Canary Wharf is just out of view on the left, hidden by trees.

The black and white view is looking the other way, up towards Highgate and Finchley.  The other two pictures were taken in Highgate Village.  As always, you can click on "different sizes" to see the full size original.

Great photographs. At the risk of blowing smoke up larry's ego, I think people who take photos like these can see there is a great photo to be taken in the first place. Finding something extraordinary among the ordinary. I wouldn't think of taking a picture in most of these locations.

Definitely agree there Nick. Anyone can point a camera and take a picture. The skill is seeing the shot you want or even better, going to look for the shot you are after. I'm off this afternoon for a scene I saw early this morning whilst walking the dog but the light wasn't right.
