Mayfair is the area of London surrounded by four main streets: Park Lane to the west, Oxford Street to the north, Regent Street to the east and Piccadilly to the south.

The Regent Street Polytechnic springs to mind ... I'm not sure where exactly the building is, and I believe it is now part of the University of Westminster but don't quote me on that.  A trip across to neighbouring Soho and Earlham Street will being you to Syd's old flat at number 2.

See this map for Mayfair and the surrounding areas:

I recently rode a bus around Mayfair and saw nothing Floydian... well the original Hard Rock Cafe was in the area... must be something Floydian in there!!!

Thanks a million (or L 531,000)!  Why do they call them "flats" anyway?
