So, I can be somewhat spelling challenged at times but it strikes me funny that the spell check feature catches the name "Gilmour". > What's up with that?

It must be an American spell-check and as we all know Americans have yet to learn the correct way to deal with the English language ;D

This site is powered by Lewis Media  a Canadian company.
  I was under the impression that they therefore supply the spell-check facility.
              Forgive me if I am wrong in that assumption.

The spell checking is provided by a library installed on the server called pspell, not the forum software. We don't have access to the language files.
