So many of us have pets these days and I'm just curious of how many of you own pets, any pets, dogs,cats, exotic ETC.

I'm also curious of their names, how did you come about there names, what does the name mean, does it fit the pets character??

We have a pet cat call Raisa, apparently a Russian name, fits her down to a T.

This a recent photo of her, she just loves to sleep on her BACK with all four legs in the air, I love all animals and just can't understand how people can be so cruel to them >

Forgot to mention we also have 2 large tropical fish tanks with lots of little fish in them, one has a rather old Clown Loach which has the name of loachy, but we have no names for the others as theres too many.

I used to own the most beautiful cat in the whole world (yes I am biased).
I say used to as I had to give her to a friend to live with. She didn't like my so called husband because he was both allergic and abusive to her. Needless to say I'm no longer with him, wasn't the only reason but just one of them. Anyway I digress, her name is Parsley. Can't remember how I came up with the name, but It may have had something to do with Parsley the Lion. I saw her just last week and she's still beautiful but now a fat cat! At least she's very happy and much loved where she is now. This is a picture I took of her when she was a kitten... ain't she cute?

I've got a goldfish called Bob, named after Bob Dylan and the fact that fish just bob up & down in the water. I've also got a black Labradore called Barney because that sounds like Barmy which he most definitely is. I also have a bitch called Mrs. fossil but that's another story ;D

This is Brandy, our 8-year old golden retriever. She's sort of brandy colored. I was going to name her Maintenance... so when I came home everyday I'd get to say... Hi Maintenance! I never knew a dog could shed so much hair!

This is my Boxer dog Indy. She's two and a half now , a stunning physical example of the breed and just the gentlest softest dog you'll meet.

What a smashing dog,you are very lucky.
My dog is a Collie his name is Wilf and hes from working stock.Both his mother and grandmother where farm dogs. He's 26 months old.
Also I have a very hairy grey tom-cat named Ozzy.
Plus I have an assortment of dogs belonging to other people that I'm boarding in spare kennels.
