I came across the BBC poll to find the greatest "living icon" on their website this morning.  The list includes several musicians so I thought I'd list the ten "finalists" and ask you all to choose your TOP THREE (not your overall favourite).

David Attenborough
Alan Bennett
David Bowie
Kate Bush
Michael Caine
Stephen Fry
Sir Paul McCartney
Morrissey
Kate Moss
Vivienne Westwood

If you're not familiar with any of these people (and if you aren't, where have you been?), you can read short biographies on the website here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/livingicons/vote/

OK, here's my top ten:

1. Sir Paul McCartney
2. Morrissey
3. Stephen Fry

Who's going to vote Kate Moss as number one then?

Why does everyone feel they have to please me, just because I'm an upper-middle class snob?

Sorry old chap, I thought us working class Northerners had to bow to your Southern superiority
