TOPIC: solve this riddle

Three men walk into a cafe they all order a meal at the cost of ?30, the waiter takes their cash at ?10 each but when he gets to the till he realises he has charged them ?5 to much, so he thinks "I know" i will give them ?1 back each and put ?2 pounds in my pocket......... so they have all paid ?9 each for their meals plus the two pounds in the waiters pocket.......were is the other ?1???????

30 (charged) - 25 (actual) = 5 (credit due)

(3 x 1) (returned) + 2 (stolen) = 5

Thus, all balances.

How about this one......

you are walking along a single railway track, you come to a tunnel and start walking through it.
you get exactly a quarter of the way through when you hear a train coming behind you.

If you run back up the track (the way you came and towards the train), you escape just as the train reaches the tunnel entrance.

If you run down the rest of the tunnel (away from the train) you escape just as the train leaves the tunnel.

Assuming you run at a constant 12 mph, how fast is the train traveling?
