when i start up my other p.c i get an error message which says:
Reboot and select proper boot device
or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key
i followed these instuctions without success anyone with an idea let me know thanx!

It means your PC can't find the OS to boot from. This is usually because the hard disk you normally boot from is unavailble - could be coz the disk is corrupted or the bios has lost it's settings.

Have you had any other symptoms recently or been meddling with anything / installing ?

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. In technical terms it's knackered.

how about a System Restore ?

PC's are wonderful but when they go wrong theyre the pits  >

just sorted it ...there is a problem with my second hard drive e: its knackered, which was the drive i kept all my music downloads on (TWAT) cause i had at least 800 tracks on there which means i lose them all !!

of course you've always got your backup at hand
