i have just read on the bbc web site that 21% of the british public have diabetes, and 42% of americans have it without knowing, as a diabetec myself find these figures hard to beleave.........so let me know your status!!

Bloody great start to your poll jonny, I pressed the wrong buttom, sorry. I am not diabetic but I get checked every year because my Dad and Uncle are both diabetic. I believe it can be hereditary and if I have to get it I want to know as early as possible so as to start to control the condition.

It's mostly due to the ever growing problem of obesity.
