OK, so I already know I'm a bit strange but I don't see what's really wrong with this. No one at work understands and I'm bored of trying to explain myself to people so I've chosen to ignore anyone who asks from now on.

I collect staples. Used staples. I can only add staples to my collection that I have taken out of paper. I cannot allow a staple to be included if it's fallen on the floor. No one else can add staples to my collection. If anyone touches my staples I find myself getting very hot and my hands start to sweat. Everyone at work knows not to touch them but I still find that when I've come back from having just one day off some bugger has fiddled with them. I then have to take them all out and put them back properly. This means that they have to be level, not in a clump.

Last Thursday I unfortunately dropped the box, some fell out and the rest of them clumped up together so I had to take them all out. I decided to take this opportunity to count them and I haven't finished yet. So far I have got up to 2450 and there are still loads to go. When I know how may I have I'll let you know.

Does anyone else have any strange collections?

I once thought collecting different Airline Vomit or Barf bags would be a trendy thing to do, but gave up after collecting only 3.

Actually, Lorna ... I do believe you are cheating, can see at least 3 brand new staples in your collection

If a new one had broken off a strip then I would have put it in - that's allowed.

I have a collection of toilet tissue in a photo album up in the loft somewhere.
I hasten to add that this was unused tissue! I really should find it, I haven't seen it for years.

Why don't you try putting the ones in the plastic tub in the microwave oven to see what happens.
