Don't mean to flood the board with new topics or offend anyone who believes in one or the other.

I firmly believe in the theory the Universe we live in was created by a so called Big Bang, our Galaxy the Milky Way and our Universe certainly seems to be expanding to support this theory, other people believe the World we live in is created by a God, that is also a good theory.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about our place in the World recently, and the only speculation I can support is from the late scientist Carl Sagan, been watching his old Cosmos series again and again for a while now, and I cant find fault with any of it.

There is no doubt the Universe exists ... but am I alone in sometimes wondering and trying to grasp the enormity of it?

Its really really hard for me to grasp the fact our Universe is expanding ... into what? but that is what seems to be happening...

I guess in the same way our ancestors refused to believe the world was anything but flat, or the earth and its religious groups had the sun revolving around it ... I'm naturally curious ... I guess I'll never know?

As for the whole root of a Big Bang cause and if that was creation .... my mind is truly and utterly boggled!!!

Don't try to hard or your brain will start to hurt. When I was trying to understand how the universe appears to expand into 'nothing' I found that concept difficult to accept until I reallised that if I accepted the fact that the if universe didn't exist then there would be nothing so if I accepted that the evidence suggests that after the 'big bang' the universe is expanding then it is not difficult to accept that it is indeed expanding into 'nothing'.
Are we nearly there yet?

Hmm it is a good theory all together, I done a bit of research through biblical means last year in my spare time haha But because the bible a document of the past which a lot of people seem to believe in and hell i dont want to offend millions on the planet but everything is contradictory of everything else, as well as things are exaggerated.

What 1 theory says another 2 can criticise in some small way. The whole aspect of creation is too hard to believe. But at the same time how can darwinian theory be right as its only about 400 years old why not plato or someone of a familiar philisophical nature thin of that in context?

At the same time we possess 94% of monkey genetics and through eons of time the EEA (environment of evolutionary adaptation) causes species to evolve with changing environments. For instance Giraffes have long necks to eat trees etc now why did they obtain long necks because they are herbivores of a certain kind?

A superior (sorry i dont want ot offend christians) cannot exist i feel. The universe is expanding, the cosmos and idea of blackholes wouldnt exist if it was created otherwise it would be static. And why would earth be made with so many flaws (even though man heavily contributes. Yes things like global warming. Why doesnt god get rid of it?

Also divine intervention would exist if life was created and then doesnt that mean that something created god??

sorry a lot to take in and a lot of questions asked there. But Psychology entails a lot of evolutionary and biological factors haha

again sorry phil. evolutionary Biological and psychological factors are in place. The questions that people ask are of degree level questions and even still they surpass it. It is easier to understand if there is a knowledge of psychology, sociology or theology as it makes it easier on the noggin in terms of empirical support or potential reasoning. Like any subject if there is no background knowledge it is hard to grasp (just try and ask me about maths and youll get the same result as you just gave haha!)

Lol, actually Daley, we are more descended from Apes than Monkeys, genetically, gene for gene, molecule for molecule there is virtually no difference between us (Human Beings) and Apes, Chimpanzees, Gorillas and similar creatures chose a different branch of the evolution tree to evolve on a tangent ... I do believe we all came out of the sea at one point though

Pinkfossil ... It is hard to get my head around the origin of the Universe and it expanding into nothing, its a topic I will let lie for years, but it always come back to haunt me, simply because I cant understand it or begin to grasp the enormity of it.

Isn't that wonderful
