Below are four questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them instantly. You must not take your time.
I don't need to know your answers but don't cheat, you'll only be cheating yourself. OK, quickly now....

Question 1.

You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person, which position will you be in?

Answer
If you answered that you are first then you're as daft as a brush. If you overtake the second person and you take his place, you will be second.

OK, Try not to mess this one up.
Don't take as much time as you took for the first question.

Question 2.

If you overtake the last person, which position will you be in?

Answer
If you answered that you are second to last then you are wrong again. How can you overtake the last person?
Think about it...

Question 3.

Oooh tricky maths question. DO NOT cheat, use your head and not a calculator (or abacus in your case Nick).

Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Add 30 and another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000 and then add 10.
What's the total?

Answer
Did you get 5000? hmmm the correct answer is actually 4100, now use a calculator to see it.

Question 4.

Mary's father has five daughters;
1. Nana
2. Nene
3. Nini
4. Nono
What is the name of the 5th daughter?

Did you answer Nunu?  WRONG! Her name is Mary. Read the question again...

Bonus Question.

There is a mute person who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing one's teeth he successfully expressed himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is completed. If a blind man wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses how should he express himself?

Answer
He just has to open his mouth and ask. Simple huh.

If doctors use that test to check for dementia, there are going to be a lot of senile people around.

Those questions are DESIGNED to catch people out so it's hardly fair is it?
Be very very careful what you put into that head, because you will never ever get it out. Thomas Cardinal Wolsey (1471-1530)
