Cant sleep, thought I'd update my profile here and dig out some pictures of my attempts of learning to Fly.

Pictures are from the RAF Kinloss flying club Piper Warrior III around my area in NE Scotland.

Fantastic pictures Colin, and being that I'm on the Canadian west coast I get to see them first as it's only mid evening here.

How often do you think of the song, "Learning to fly" when you are up there? Just curious.

You don't! it really is like a different universe!  but Phil, the pilot who took us up in that Piper ... actually used to hum the Dambuster's theme to him self as he flew, kind of unnerving when I first took the controls beside him ... really great guy though.

I can imagine why Gilmour was moved to write about, learning to fly ... I'll never get there, but its been fun trying

This has to be one of my 100 'things to do before you die' items, I'd just love to learn to fly a light aircraft but the cost is enormous, with East Midlands airport just down the road, maybe someday ,who knows ???.  Wonderful pictures there Colin
