I just looked at the Calendar for May, and I note that there are no fewer than 12 birthdays coming up.

Now I don't know about you, but it annoys me to see a new thread for each person's birthday popping up full of nothing but everyone saying "Happy Birthday <username>".

So with so many birthdays coming up in May, why don't we just have one big thread to post all the [s]pointlessly repetitive[/s] inevitable "Happy Birthdays" into?

And before anyone says it, yes I did have TWO threads for mine, but I started neither of them, so you can't pin that one on me, Guv.

Whadddddya think?

I think you're a grumpy, curmudgeonly old git and I want my own thread.

Yes, I suspected ego would get in the way of common sense.

Should I take his stars off him?

Nah, he's earned them.  Besides he's actively working at maintaining his GOS status.

It wouldn't bother me (honestly) if we went to one thread, per month, where the first entry identified the birthday celebrants and the date of their big day.

As it is Neil's idea, I'd like to nominate him to administer it.  >
