OK, a rather strange topic name but then this is a strange little mystery.
All over London recently, a piece of recurring graffiti keeps popping up. It's nothing more than this:

I saw one of these when I was in Kensington with Fossil and Lorna last weekend. The story has been cropping up on various websites and local newspapers and no one has any idea what it means.
There are currently over 60 locations in London where one can see this strange writing including on platforms of tube stations. I saw the one outside Wembley Park tube station yesterday when I went up there to get my hat back from a friend.
There is a Flickr gallery of the graffiti here:

One theory is that it's nothing more than cheap advertising for some band no one's ever heard of (not yet anyway) and others are convinced there's some deep meaning behind it. I reckon it's someone doing it simply to get people like us to discuss it. After all, putting it on an obscure wall in a back street in Belgravia is hardly going to get you worldwide attention.
As an article on the Metro (free London paper) website says, "In this puzzle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in Brooke Shields, only one thing is certain - if it turns out to be just some rubbish viral marketing for a band or a perfume or a robotic dog or something, we're all going to be very upset indeed."
I'll be on the lookout for more of these now. Anyone got any ideas?
