Paris Hilton is going to jail.  I know that I really shouldn't care... but it tickles me so.

Shadenfreude (sic) but true....

Wasn't it to do with driving offences or something?

that and then violating the terms of her probation.  Yet they've reduced her sentence in half... for good behaviour.  WTF!!!  Doesn't one need to actually be in jail to be credited for good behaviour???!!!  That's puzzled all the entertainment news pundits.  And now she'll only be going to a "country club" jail instead of LA County Jail (oooo that would have been too good to be true).  But it's jail none the less.

Now if only they could sentence her (and her publicist) to obscurity... that would be sweet!!!

I just found a news story on this.

Apparently, she signed a document to say that she agreed to her licence being revoked for drink driving and yet she claims she didn't realise it was revoked.

Now in her case I can fully believe that she didn't actually realise.  I bet when she signed that form she wasn't actually taking any notice of what she was doing.

Should have been more than 45 days and this is being reduced to only 23 days for good behaviour.
