There is no such thing as a "good diet" - they all have drawbacks.

People who sell diet books really are making money for old rope.

Hi D,

The Mrs and I are both doing Weight Watchers.  We're 6 weeks in and I've lost 12 lbs and Caroline is down 15 lbs.  Everyone loses weight differently- so it's hard not to be a bit competitive... as it's not a race- it's a longterm change in lifestyle. WW works, if you follow it... but it all boils down to sensible eating and drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day.

Best of luck.

I am on a diet, in fact I am on two diets as I don't get enough food on just the one.

They are a light diet. (I only eat during the daylight hours)
and a sea food diet, (I see food and I eat it)

com'on.... did you expect a serious answer from me?

Diets never work - short term weight loss is all a diet will achieve and most have low nutritional values, losing nothing more than water.

Lifestyle change is the only way - healthy eating, proper fluid intake and exercise. That's all WW is, but as a structured plan it does work and it takes the hassle out of working out a plan for yourself - at a cost. But the minute you finish, you cannot go back to your previous eating/drinking habits. If you do, hey presto, the weight comes back.

Rocket science? I think not............
