Next Saturday Lorna and I are off on a day trip by train to a mystery destination.

We're not going to tell you where it is yet but I was wondering, what is the furthest you would travel in a single day by car or train if you had to be back home and at work the following morning?  Obviously we don't have to be at work on the Sunday morning (but we do have to be at the Oval that afternoon for Hampshire v Surrey in the 20/20 series) but we're still coming back on the same evening.

Going to France on a booze cruise when you live in Kent doesn't count ...
