Anyone else swept-up in the Facebook fad?
Some of yy 13 year-old step-daughter's friends were appalled that I even knew what Facebook was, let alone had an account. :  |

It's along the same lines as msnmyspace and bebo, apparently the competition for members between all three is fierce at the moment with myspace having ten million members and bebo having five million members. Facebook is the new one that's meant to be knocking spots of all the other competitors.
Personally I prefer my private network off friends and if I want to know anything about them I will ask  |

I'd never heard of it either, until a friend sent me an e-mail inviting me to join... which I ignored. Then another friend invited me, and I starting hearing about Facebook everywhere... Facebook this, Facebook that... even local TV news has it's own Facebook site. I just wondered if it caught on outside of my little world.
I totally agree with you mommap... but then again I did go ahead and build my own Facebook site... : |
