to share this because I am new and you don't know me well.  I have sat here all morning wondering if I should tell you.  Well, I hurt so much that I have to tell you.  Last night my little shih tzu died in his sleep.  I have no idea why.  He seemed fine last night and he was only 6.  He was always following me around the house, never far from my feet.  I have cried all morning.  I didn't know if it was OK to share this, but I hurt to much right now not to.

What a great shame.
    Six years is no age at all for a small dog. Have you spoken to your vet about tests for the cause? Not the first thing to come to mind at this time is it.
                You have my sympathy. To loose a well loved dog is to loose a member of the family.

Im so sorry to hear about your lovely dog.  Its absolutely heartbreaking when you lose a pet because theyre a member of your family.  Only time will heal a little.  Hope this helps x

I wish we had the money to find out what happened.  Right now money is tight and the tests won't change it.  If they could change it I would find a way.  He didn't appear sick or act any differently.  He simply went to sleep and didn't wake up.  He was still curled up like he always is when he is asleep.

Sometimes things happen and we can't explain why they do x  you obviously loved and adored your little pet x bless him x its so sad.  I know exactly what youre going through  :'(

I'm really sorry to read this. It's horrible when a pet dies, but especially such a young one.
