I'm really pissed off at the moment, come out of work to find that someone has run into my car whilst it has been parked on the company car park, we only have customers come and go during the day and the odd car or 2 turn around in the car park.  No one has seen anything and it's going to be an insurance job as the front bumper is damaged and paintwork cracked, that's going to cost me ?200 in access on the policy and goes against ME on my claims > >

Why are people so dis-honest, this is the first claim I have made in around 17 years and it's not any fault of mine , maybe I'm too honest but if I had bumped someones else's car I would have left a note on their windscreen with contact details ETC, or at least gone into reception to find out who's car it is ETC.

My Dad had the same thing happen to him whilst his car was parked, luckily he just caught the Woman driving the other car as she tried to make a speedy get away , that cost near on ?1200 in repairs to his car through her insurance.

I'm beginning to think the world is full of dis-honest people or just idiots.

That is just so unlucky. Thing is if people don't stop to report a hit and run, what chance have you got with a thing like this? > It seems to be also that for a car to remain undamaged while parked outside your own home is a bit of a lottery too these days. We had a spate of car vandalism a couple of years ago, mirrors kicked off, scratching, panels booted in etc etc. So much so that when I got my latest car I'd more or less mentally written it off. As long as it goes and stops is my only concern now. How it looks does'nt matter any more.

I'm sorry that happened to you.  I once had a shopping cart get away from me and run into someone's car.  She was really shocked that I left her my name and phone number.  

I've always tried to keep the cars that I have owned in good condition, no matter how old they are, my car is kept in a garage at night so unless someone sets fire to the garage or breaks into it the car is fairly secure.

Andy, we have had a spate of vandalism on cars around our area too, around 100 cars damaged over a couple of nights, they did catch the culprits and they were both in their late 20's, makes you wonder just what goes through their simple little minds. ???

I suppose the next couple of weeks are going to be a hassle now, insurance companies and all, but hopefully everything will work out OK.

Bloody hell,Lea its about time you had a bit of good luck. You are about due for some.

And that's the problem. It's now going to be a major hassle for you with insurance etc. It will work out in the end but that's not the point. I know exactly how you feel
