I had a brainwave today whilst sitting at my desk toying with the idea of actually doing some work. I thought I'd start a thread to help us get to know a little more about eachother and because to be honest, I'm quite nosey!

You may or may not know that I work for a wine wholesaler in Gloucestershire. I've been with Heritage Wine for just over two years now and have enjoyed many a free sample...hic. It's a small company and run by a bunch of young directors who seem to know what they're doing. We deliver mostly to the  West Country but we also have a large customer base in London. I'm going to take some photos of my office tomorrow so you can get a feel of where I sit wasting many a lunchtime posting rubbish on here.

Anyway, all you other workers get posting with photos of where you spend most of your waking day. And anyone else, why not post pictures of where you sit at home whilst surfing the net!
Hello and thanks for having me.

Ah, good idea mind!

OK, I work for First Great Western as a trainee train driver.  I am based at Paddington station in west London but spend most of my time at the Reading training centre.  We are being trained to drive HSTs (High Speed Trains or Intercity 125's if you're of a certain age). I'm one week into the course and we start going out with companion drivers tomorrow for the first time.  It will take me about a year to fully qualify and with the sheer amount of stuff we have to learn, I'll need all of it.

Here's a picture of my office:

Be very very careful what you put into that head, because you will never ever get it out. Thomas Cardinal Wolsey (1471-1530)

Interesting thread Lorna. Nice office Larry!

I work for a large Parks and Recreation Center, on the edge of Victoria, British Columbia Canada, oh hell......in for a penny, here's the web site address.

www.jdfrecreation.com/

I'm the mechanic here and have a lot  of equipment to look after. I've been here 26+ years now and am their longest serving employee. I have become the "go to guy".
I have a lot of fun, and my job gives me free access to all the facilities (although looking at me you wouldn't believe I use them!!) I go and watch quite a lot of local hockey Jr A games (17-21 year olds trying to make it to the NHL) and it's a great Friday night out when we go. In fact I'm going this Friday to see a game. The whole place is situated on 113 acres and is in the middle of the western communities just outside Victoria. In 1994 we were the second biggest venue site for the Commonwealth games. We had the wrestling, lawn bowling, and the velodrome bike racing here. I'm a heavy duty mechanic by trade and went to College and studied engineering and am a Engineering technician also. .......basically, I'm handy, know what I'm doing (most of the time)  and can fix crap!  ;D

I'll take a picture of my office and post it soon!

I am the public sector business development manager for the enterprise content management division of Morse, an IT services company. Well, you did ask.

And I run a web site, but nobody will be interested in that.

Well these days, I get to book prisoners in, Search them, take their Fingerprints, Photograph and DNA
Feed them, sort out their solicitors, bail them, charge them, and make sure they are looked after!
A change from arresting them, interviewing, and more so from doing all the paperwork and preparing files that goes along after that

Bet you can't guess where I work  ;D
