Went to our local Sainsburys yesterday and guess what was playing, yep you got it GG.  along side with Slade, Wizzard, Shakin' bloody Stevens, Live Aid, the list goes on.

Ever year the same songs get dusted off and played repeatedly, but then again what else is there.

What else makes me laugh is that every year theres adverts on the TV for 'The greatest Christmas Hit EVER' CD, does anyone really buy them???

There has not been a memorable Christmas song since.......
well some time in the 80's

We have a Christmas CD which we bought about 8 years ago.
It contains all the usual stuff (Chris Rea, Lennon, Slade, Jona Lewie, Mike Oldfield, Jethro Tull etc).

It is good for 2 or 3 afternoons each year then it is shelved for another 12 months.
Since no-one is releasing any decent songs any more, there will be no point in upgrading.

I think all these compilations are good to scratch the itch, but you only need one or two.
We also have 'The greatest pub jukebox' - Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Ram Jam Band, Cockney Rebel......
good for a barbeque or a quick session on the air guitar.
