Is anyone in here a Karaoke singer ??? Well I for one are not as my singing is limited to in the car. But I was at a recent works party were the organiser in her wisdom had organised a Karaoke for everyone followed by the disco late into the night. At the beginning of the evening, everyone was shying away for taking part with the usual "you must be bloody joking" but as the drinks flowed and to everyone's credit most people had a go, despite the fact that no one could really sing I think everyone had a great time.

I tried wriggling out of it by playing the old "I'm into Pink Floyd" trick thinking they wouldn't have any of those - but they did of course. My boss wanted to sing Money with me but after I pointed out to her the long guitar solo in the middle we decided on Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison - and I surprised myself and others by how well I sang.

By the end of the night the DJ kept having to turn requests down as he'd got too many. So has anyone ever sang a Floyd song at a Karaoke, if so which one ? The problem is finding the right song I think, for example I don't think Echoes would go down well, but I think I could manage Comfy quite easily.

Big fan of Karaoke since going to China - hated it before and would avoid it like the plague, but now I love it (Chinese style that is).

It's the most common night out and you get a private room, so if you are with a group of friends, it's a lot of fun. You are expected to choose a hostess who looks after you, but basically her aim is to get you drunk! They play a dice game which is a bit like spoof, but as they play it every night, they are very good. The forfeit if you lose is to drink and before long everyone is fighting for the microphones! A great night out and the Chinese know how to drink too!

Only ever sang karaoke once at Xmas with my family a few years ago. Sang The Animals "House Of The Rising Sun" and(i'm sorry.....) Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive".....

Thankfully over the last few years i have discovered real music that isn't stupid pop i.e. classic rock
I love Aussie Floyd. Simple as that lol.

I have to admit that I love a bit of karaoke ;D I have my own karaoke rigged up in the house for when my daughter and her friends or mine come around. It's a laugh innit and that's what it's all about at the end of the day !

My Floyd karaoke consists of :

See Emily Play
Coming Back To Life
Time
Sheep
Brain damage
SOYCD
CN
Eclipse
Hey You
Money
Nobody Home
The Final Cut
WYWH
ABITW
Breathe

And yes I have had a go at all of them !!!
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a gift thats why it is called present...

s56.photobucket.com/albums/g163/mommapin...PFS%20Dudley%202007/
