So did anyone feel the Earthquake in the UK last night ?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7266136.stm

I live north east of Manchester (about 100M from the epicentre in Market Rasen) and had just nicely got off to sleep when something woke me about 1am . I was half asleep but do remember thinking what the hell was that ? It wasn't anything too serious though in my mind so I rolled over and went back to sleep.
According to the BGS it was about a 5.3 on the Richter scale, so quite large for the UK but very minor compared to what they get in California or Japan for example.

I live in South Manchester and awoke in shock from what I thought was a nightmare of my house falling down. It wasn't until I saw the news this morning that I realised it really was an earthquake!

Mrsfossil always says it would take an earthquake to wake me. She was wrong because we also live in Manchester and I didn't feel a thing.
Are we nearly there yet?

It moved for MrsSkotch!!

She was out of bed running around ranting that things had fallen over (we live in Leicester).  I told her it was a nightmare and she should get back to sleep!

Anyway, this morning I was dragged to our attic room to be shown evidence that it was an earthquake - a wooden statuette we have had fallen onto the floor and made a bit of a thump which is what woke her up.

Personally, I can't see what all the fuss is about - been in a lot stronger quakes (as has MrsSkotch) where everyone just gets on with it

It woke me up here in Norwich!
I thought at first it was a heavy truck going past or something, you know how they rattle the windows
if the road is close? But there was no noise just everything vibrating for about 10 secs, so in my daze I
thought 'oh, it must be an earthquake' and went back to sleep! My other half slept through it and she
didn't believe me, till we put the breakfast news on the telly!
