You know when the telephone rings and you drop something really important what your doing to go and answer it.
When you get their and pick it up...........silence..........while you say 'hello,hello,hello' over and over again only to realise it's one of those annoying machines companies use now to ring you up but no one answers their end until they know you have answered. Even though it was they that rang you.  ARRRRRRRRRR! i FIND THAT SO ANNOYING. Plus if you do wait the eternity it takes for them to replie the person on the phone always seemes to be ringing from India or some other Asian country and hasn't completed their basic English course and reads in broken English from a card her employer has given her to read from. Plus(here I go ranting) they use a combination of your Christian name and the prefix so it goes like this "Hello de Mr.JeffofBelfast how are you Tuesday?"  ARRRRRRRRRRR!! Drives me crazy.

What trivial aspects of modern day life get under your  skin and really annoy you? Please post them below and lets all confer. ;D

Next time they ring you just ask them if they have lost any wedding photo's in Liverpool. You never Know

What really annoys me is, well pretty much everything. It seemed to happen when I turned 50.

Do what I do...ask them to hang on a minute while I take a saucepan off the stove. Put the receiver down then carry on with whatever you were doing...they'll give up waiting after about 5 minutes (at their cost as they phoned you).

Good fun with Jehovas witnesses too, I make them talk to me through the letterbox, even if they persist after I've told them the only religious interest I have is Black Sabbath.

Jehovah's witnesses....grrrr, they come to our village on a Saturday morning. Always two adults with a young child in tow (why) They have the cheek to knock on my front door and ask me if I'd like to talk about the lord. ME ? such soft headed people.

Call centres, I love 'em. I can honestly say I have never ended the conversation and they always become frustrated and end up closing the call when they have had enough. The trick is striking the right balance between thick as a brick and interested in the product.
