Last weekend I had a wisdom tooth break and with it being a bank holiday weekend could not do anything until the Tuesday apart from take co-codamol for the pain. So Tuesday arrives and I ring the dentist 'sorry sir we cannot fit you in today, are you in a lot of pain??' , with the obvious answer being YES, they then told me they had an appointment slot in a MONTHS time

, the girl then said give us a ring tomorrow and we will see what we can do.
So give them a ring on the Wednesday and finally manage to get an appointment for midday, the painkillers where doing nothing by now. I though that I would never be happy to see a dentist but this time I was until he told me what treatment was needed, the wisdom tooth had to come out and another tooth that was playing up needed root filling :

. Upon asking him what the root filling would cost he replied 'band C' which meant nothing to me so I said 'what's band C??' To which he replied £139

So I asked him can't you take that one out as well?? He said yes and that will cost you £16.50 to extract BOTH teeth ???
He successfully removed both the offending teeth, which took around an hour , the pain is still there but this is because the tooth requiring root treatment took some removing, and he gave me around 12 injections to numb the area, but it still hurt like hell, the wisdom tooth came out very easily :

I go for regular check-ups and consider myself lucky to have an NHS dentist.
