I received my Blue Badge today so I can park anywhere I bloody well want to.
Mixed feelings actually, this can be traced back to smashing my motor bike up in the mid 70's and then working as a service engineer on my knees for years. It has deteriorated quite a lot over the last 12 months and I had quite a bad fall in Liverpool whilst attending the Roger Waters gig  last month.
I am due to see the specialist next month with a view to having a knee and hip replacement so I will then be the Bionic Man. If this is successful I will happily hand back the Blue Badge.
I pride myself on never having taken a day of sick due to this and I have the best sickness record at my place of work.
My only concern is that the 2 Aussie gigs at the Summer Pops may coincide with my surgery but I will cross that hurdle if and when I get to it.

No worries Phil, I will gladly take your tickets and attend these gigs on your behalf, what are friends for after all.

All the best with the knee hip etc. I know you have suffered greatly, and I wish you well.
