Now that I'm feeling flat about the second pops I'm going to pick myself up again...

We're off to play BINGO tonight! woohoo! Dibber dabbers at the ready.

This is where we're going tonight.  . We saw this episode on TV and were fascinated by the building. Although it's kind of sad that it's now a bingo hall it is great that the building is being used and not just abandoned and left to rot.
Hello and thanks for having me.

Blimey Lorna, that's a blast from the past.

40 years ago, when Mrs Mike and I were walking out, sometimes we used to go to late night cinema on a Saturday to see horror films. Grab a copy of the London Evening News Saturday morning, check out what's playing and where, and off we'd go. There was a small nucleus of London cinemas that ran these performances, usually the film started about 11-30pm. We'd go all over London to see them and many is the time we went to the Tooting Granada. If we were 'over the water' (north of the Thames) we used to stop at the all night tea bar outside the gates of Battersea Park, right by the power station, for some supper on the way home - usually about 2-00am. Thinking back, I must say I really knew how to treat a girl.  ;D

Fantastic, thanks for that Mike. No tea bars anymore, just thousands of coffee bars. Tooting isn't much of a desireable area but this building really is a diamond in the rough. Absolutely stunning inside. I did take a couple of photos on my phone but was told off because a) it's a gambling environment and b) it's a listed building... oops, naughty girl!

Neither of us won anything last night but we did come close on a couple of occasions which tends to get the adrenalin going.  After all the games were over this is what we were left with.
