Whatever you do DO NOT CLICK ANY OF THE LINKS OR REVEAL ANY PASSWORDS, ACCOUNT NUMBER OR PERSONAL DETAILS, BANKS WILL NOT SEND E-MAIL ASKING YOU TO REVEAL PASSWORDS OR DETAILS. Some of these e-mails say your accunt will be closed if you don't update your details, just ignore it and set your spam/phishing filters to delete these e-mails in future.

The scumbags that setup these scams need routing out and dealing with.

As a further precaution if you ever receive an unexpected phone call from somebody claiming to be from your bank in which you are asked to confirm your account details, make sure you refuse to do so.
You know the phone number of your branch, call them back then ask why they want your details.
I mention this only because Mrs bigdog had a suspicious in coming call on Friday morning and refused to cooperate with the caller ??

No bank will ever ask you for your PIN, password or anything like that in an email or on the phone.  So scams are easy to spot these days.

Also "Valued Customer" tends to give it away.  They should always use your name.
Be very very careful what you put into that head, because you will never ever get it out. Thomas Cardinal Wolsey (1471-1530)
