I'm sure some of you watch the X-Factor and have done for several years now.  Is it me or has it reached an all-time low this year?

It seems as though each finalist has been picked because of some sob story that will endear them to the public, the worst being the blatant references to the wife of the-old-guy-who-can't-sing who died.

And how many times can someone say "this is all I've ever wanted to do and if it ends now I don't know what I'll do" before they start believing it?

I actually think this year has the strongest field I've ever seen in X Factor (and I've seen them all lol)
I do think the guy who's wife died is also a good singer. They sent the right one home last night. Next to go for me would be JLS.

I'm still hooked, and I agree with H-C about this year's finalists. There are at least 3 potential strong pop careers among them. I think they sent the right one home last night, but I also think that Daniel should be next.

Anyway, you've got to watch X-Factor so you can watch Holly on Xtra-Factor.

Are we nearly there yet?

I don't think Neil would disagree, they are all good singers but I/we agree that Daniel is not a great singer. OK, he does has a good voice it's just not a winning voice. I think they should both have been sent home.

My favorites are....in no particular order;

Alexandra, Austin, Diana & Laura. Rachel is doing my head in with her stupid arsey attitude, JLS are alright but we've heard it all before and Ruth is growing on me. I did like her Purple Rain last week.
