We've been out on some good walks around our local nature reserve over the Christmas hols and whilst enjoying the scenery around us I couldn't help but notice plastics bags hanging in some of the trees.

These plastic bags are what people are using to pick up dog crap, then attempt to throw it into the river or the ponds ,which is bad enough, but some end up hanging in trees and it looks a bloody mess :G, the thing is there are bins around the place specially for dog poo, are people too lazy to use them? or do they like the sight of dog crap wrapped in plastic bags hanging in trees, for months to come?? The footpaths used to be a mine field of dog crap, but this has improved vastly over the years, seems most of it is hanging in the trees now.

This nature reserve is being spoilt by ,what is probably, a handful of 'couldn't care less' dog owners. ???

If you think about it Lea it is unlikely that a dog owner would have taken the trouble of scooping up the dog poo to just throw it in the trees. What has probably occurred is that the dog owner has scooped up the poo and deposited it in the bin. Along comes the local scroats who think it is very funny to whizz the poo filled plastic bags all over the place, including in the trees. Makes more sense to me.

As with most aspects of life in the UK in the 21st century the brainless minority spoil things for the majority.

I doubt the local youth population, who want's to go sticking their hand's into one of those bins :G, but you never know.

I still think it's the actual dog owners, who can't be bothered to walk to a bin and dispose of the crap properly, so the easy option is throw it in the Trent or one of the ponds, but they are such a crap shot the shit end's up in a tree or bush, most of the bags we have spotted are not near any bins ???It looks an absolute mess.

I doubt it has anything to do with dog poo. I used to live in the sticks so I know what you mean about bags in trees. I personally think it's people who have gone shopping, taken their one purchase out and scoffed it on the way home. Instead of not bothering with a plastic bag in the first place or putting the plastic bag in their pocket they just drop it. Then the wind comes along and blows the bags around, inevitably some do get stuck in trees. That's my take on it anyway.
