It's about this time of year that we are privileged to see one of the more amazing sights of nature - that of bees round a honeypot.
The queen bee, eager to impress, puts on a show to attract the males who fall over each other to ingratiate themselves despite already having mates of their own. Other females are conspicuous in their absence from such activity, preferring to allow the queen bee the space her massively-inflated ego needs.
For their part the males, having fallen for the honey trap, are now powerless to resist the queen's charms, babbling incoherently at every opportunity in a futile attempt to impress her.
The natural habitat of this Wonder of nature is the Not Australian Pink Floyd forum, where daily sightings can be guaranteed for those willing to sit patiently clicking the "Show unread posts since last visit" link. Just mind you don't get stung.
Happy spotting!
