Good luck to the CMP managed racing driver, Yorkshireman Dan Clarke!
Picked to represent his country in the A1-Grand Prix race of nations in Taupo New Zealand this weekend. He only heard about his 'call up' the other day and had to hot foot it 'down under' pretty quickly from his home in Indianapolis. Dan has previously had the Australian Pink Floyd show sponsor logos on his car. The New Zealand race is on Sky Sports on Sunday.

Well done too to another CMP charge, Wayne Boyd from Ulster. Reigning British Formula Ford Champion and 2008 Formula Ford Festival winner. Dan won this Festival in 2004. Wayne has just been awarded the 'Belfast Telegraph Player of the Year' sportsman award. Definitely another Lewis Hamilton in the making.

Hmmm, not the prettiest of cars - nice to have the slicks back, but not sure about the rest?

Latest rumour doing the rounds is Richard Branson's Virgin to take over the Honda F1 team, using Mercedes engines. He'll get his next door neighbour and business partner Adrian Reynard to front the operation. Adrian owns the land that the Honda factory is built on anyway and he knows everybody and everything about motor racing from his long involvement as a manufacturer previously. The car is built and ready to go...just needs the finance..hope it happens. Branson has always said he'll enter the sport when the tobacco companies are gone.
