I notice that Charley has announced this morning on another thread that the date has come through for her operation. Some of you have have already sent her good wishes, which is very kind.
She was born with Biliary Artresia, which is a liver disease.

She had 2 operations in the first 8 weeks of her life (the first procedure failed). She's off to the Liver Unit at Birmingham Children's Hospital next Monday with her Mum and Dad for her op on Tuesday. It's corrective surgery to hopefully cure one or two problems she's been having. She is expected to be in hospital for approximately 1 week, with subsequent recuperation at home.
I know she's my granddaughter and I'm biased, but she's one brave 9 year old young lady and Mrs mike and I are very proud of her.
If you'll all excuse me, I'm going to unashamedly plug The Children's Liver Disease Foundation.

They do good work for the research into Liver Disease and give huge support to the families of children who suffer. If any of you are looking for a charity to support I respectfully ask you to consider the CLDF. Cheers.
