Forgive me for feeling thick, but how/where do I adjust my IE settings to make sure I can see the whole of a web page rather than using the slidey thing at the bottom of the page?

My PC at work seems to be configured to do this, but the one at home isn't and its annoying me at the moment.

If you press Ctrl and - together, the text size in the window will reduce to bring more of the window into view, it also works in the opposite sense with Ctrl and + to increase the size of the text to fill the window.

Hope this helps

Thanks for such a simple and quick solution!

If you are seeing a horizontal scroll bar using this site, your display resolution must be very low. The main body of the site is only 936 pixels wide, so it works without scroll bars on a 1024 x 768 display, the lowest resolution in general use today. Check your display settings and let us know what they are.

Thanks Nick - I'll do that when I get home tonight - where do I find them?

If you're using XP, right click (i.e. click once with the right mouse button) on the desktop (i.e. not over any open window, just the windows background) and select Properties. That will open the Display Properties dialog. Click the Settings tab and you will see what your current display resolution is. If the slider bar can go any further to the right, then your current setting isn't the maximum that your hardware can go to. Try moving it as far as it will go. You will be given the option to change it back if it goes peculiar, then try smaller increments.
