As there are often posts that include current affairs items from the news or wherever, I thought putting them all together was maybe a good idea?

This thread can then be like other long running threads, but just for news items  ;D

So what have I found today? This I thought very interesting, especially as I am a regular visitor to China ..... is it any different in the UK I wonder?

HA, in return for money a prostitute pretends that she enjoys sex !
  Likewise you pay a British politician LOTS of money and in return they pretend that they care about improving the lives of the electorate.
              The lady of illrepute is probably better value for money but neither can be trusted.

Don't know if you have seen this news item in the UK, but British Columbia has 100's of forest fires burning at the moment. The onslaught is terrible, and fire fighters from Australia and New Zealand are here to help with this mess. I live in Victoria and am in no danger, but at present there are 1000's of people evacuated from entire towns in the BC interior. It's the worst I have ever seen.

This one made me laugh, it's not the full story, apparently this guy went round exposing himself to women, the woman in question poured the drink on his privates and then set fire to them >, got all he deserved if you ask me.

This seems unbeliveable - but here we go!!

I've just heard on the 3-00pm BBC Radio news that before robbing the till at a music store in New Zealand, the thief ordered a copy Pink Floyds The Wall, leaving his details for the shop guy to contact him when the album came in.  ???

The thief must have been 1 brick short of a wall I reckon.  ;D
